Mi nombre es
Alexander Gell, de República Dominicana.
Desde muy niño estaba apasionado con el dibujo, de los
cuales siempre llenaba mis cuadernos escolares. Luego comencé a combinar el
dibujo con la pintura acrílica y acuarela.
Al notar esta habilidad mis padres me inscribieron en La
Escuela Nacional de Bellas Artes, en mi país ya de joven estuve trabajando en
varios talleres de pintores amigos que me enseñaron la técnicas en oleo.
Aprendí varios formatos del arte de la pintura, tales como el impresionismo el
abstracto, pero la línea que más me ha gustado es el surrealismo.
Me gusta combinar los paisajes cómicos (los planetas, las
estrellas, el sol y luna) y combinarlos con paisajes de la tierra, sobre todo
resaltando la figura femenina, y las siluetas de algunos animales imponentes,
tales como el caballo y el águila. Trabajo arduamente para continuar
perfeccionando el tema surrealista en el arte.
Hice mi primera exposición artística individual en el
prestigioso hotel Centenario, en República Dominicana, en el 2009; mas varias
exposiciones colectiva en la galería de arte de Santo Domingo: SorMed Fine Arts
Gellery.
En estos momentos estoy trabajando como profesor de arte en
dos instituciones: La Escuela de Artes
Shalom y en la fundación Rosseny, en Santo Domingo.
También me encuentro promocionando el arte en Los Estados
Unidos, sobre todo en el área de Los Ángeles y en San Francisco California.

My name is Alexander Gell, of Dominican Republic.
From his childhood he was passionate about drawing, which always filled my school notebooks. Then I started to combine drawing with acrylic and watercolor.
Noticing this skill my parents enrolled me in the National School of Fine Arts, in my country as a young man I worked in several workshops painter friends who taught me the techniques in oil. I learned various forms of art of painting, such as abstract impressionism, but the line that I liked most is the surrealism.
I like to combine the comic landscapes (planets, stars, sun and moon) and combine with landscapes on earth, especially emphasizing the female figure, and the silhouettes of some breathtaking, such as the horse and the eagle animals. Work hard to continue improving the surreal theme in art.
I did my first solo art exhibition in the prestigious Centenary, in Dominican Republic, in 2009; but several collective exhibitions in the Art Gallery of Santo Domingo: SorMed Gellery Fine Arts.
Right now I'm working as an art teacher in two institutions: The School of Arts and the Shalom Foundation Rosseny in Santo Domingo.
I find also promoting art in the United States, especially in the Los Angeles and San Francisco California.
